What causes uneven skin tone (dark marks and spots)?
These patchy areas of dark and light skin, also known as pigmentation, can appear on the face, neck and other areas after the skin has suffered some form of trauma. This could be from shaving nicks and cuts, razor rash, blemishes etc. The skin reacts by creating excess pigmentation in the cells, causing the skin to discolour. Other influences like sun damage, diet, medication, age and hormonal imbalance can also result in pigmentation.

What is the best routine for treating uneven skin tone?
A healthy skin is your first defence against any type of skin problem. This starts with cleaning your skin twice daily, exfoliating regularly and keeping your skin well-nourished and hydrated by moisturising daily. Avoid using harsh formulations that promise quick-fix results – frequently the active ingredients solve one problem, but create another. Adequate sun protection is an essential factor in treating uneven skin tone so ensure that you make use of sunscreen on a daily basis.
At what stage of my grooming routine should I use the Corrective Serum?
This product works most effectively when applied to clean, dry skin. After washing your face, apply directly to dark marks or spots, and dab gently until the product is fully absorbed. Do not rinse off. Thereafter apply your moisturiser.
How long can I use this product for?
The product is safe to use on an ongoing basis as part of a regular skin care routine – no harm will be caused to the skin.
Must I always moisturise after washing my face?
Absolutely yes – this is an even tone product which would be applied topically to problematic dark areas. A moisturiser for application over the entire face and neck area would be an essential part of a grooming routine.
